The University of Michigan at Dearborn is one of several campuses in the University of Michigan network. The Dearborn campus began its operations in 1959, with a donation from Ford Motor Company. The school maintains a 70 acre natural reserve that is among the largest in the city of Detroit. The University employs 381 professors and instructors to serve the approximately 8,600 students at the Dearborn campus. Both bachelor's degrees and masters degrees are available in several disciplines within the arts and sciences, business management, education, engineering, and computer science.
