Overview
University of Advancing Technology (UAT) is a small private college focused exclusively on advancing and emerging technology disciplines. Its distance education arm, UAT-Online, offers completely online degrees in 20 undergraduate and 5 graduate programs, including Virtual Modeling & Design, Game Art & Animation, Advance Computer Science, Network Security, and Technology Forensics. Online students follow a standard assignment schedule that features a team-based approach and access to industry-standard toolsets and techniques to encourage development of the collaborative and creative skills necessary for the technology workplace. UAT-Online carries out the institution's mission to educate students in the fields of advancing technology through the convenience and prevalence of the Internet.
Student Appeal
Enrollees learn interactively, in short 5-week intensive courses that enable them to advance their career and expertise, at their convenience. A dedicated UAT-Online Team is available to support students through their educational experience until graduation. There are accelerated options for fast, timely degree completion. UAT-Online faculty receives extensive training to help students succeed in an online environment. During class sessions, instructors participate in online lectures and discussion groups and respond to online questions, as well as to emails and discussion threads. The online format is designed to engage participants in a way that ensures equal educational outcomes as on-campus students.

The curriculum provides literacy across six exciting and transformative technology clusters: Information Technologies, AI and Robotics; Physical Sciences, Engineering and Nanotech; Energy, Resources, and Greentech; Biotech, Medicine and Enhancement; Social, Economic and Political Technologies; Military, Security, and Transparency Technologies. Participants learn how to identify, forecast, and assess emerging technology opportunities and threats, to assess and improve your organization's innovation practice and culture, and to bring foresight to business strategy and planning teams. Graduates acquire the professional expertise to work in technology foresight, innovation or strategy roles within startup, corporate, nonprofit, consulting, government, military, security, assessment, policy, journalism, education and other organizations.
