Star Career Academy of New York was founded in response to the growth of the hospitality industry and its employment needs. As one of the leading food and hospitality training facilities in Metropolitan New York, the school continues to change to meet the needs of hotels, restaurants, institutions, and students in the tri-state area, adding healthcare career training alongside its specialized education in the culinary arts and hospitality management fields. Today, the institution's primary focus is offering programs that provide the industry with skilled commercial cooking and hotel/restaurant management employees, as well as qualified medical assistants.

Student Appeal
Star Career Academy of New York offers evening sessions for all programs. To assure that every graduate has mastered the basic skills necessary to succeed, the school places each student in an externship position that best matches his or her training. Regular class field trips enable students to see their prospective working environment and the opportunity to network with industry professionals. The Career Services Department specializes in guiding and preparing students for career placement after graduation, working with them and employers to facilitate interviews.

Star Career Academy of New York participates in the Title IV Federal Student Financial Assistance Programs (FPELL, FFELP Stafford Loans, and Federal PLUS Loans). It is approved by the New York State Education Department for the training of Veterans, and is accepted for referrals under VESID and JTPA. Star Career Academy of New York is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC).
