Southern California Seminary

Overview
Southern California Seminary is a private institution located in San Diego California, dedicated to providing educational opportunities rooted in bible. The school serves those in all areas of ministry, including pastors, ministers, counselors, and psychologists, with degrees from the associate's to the doctoral level. The seminary's mission is to provide students with "biblical knowledge, Christian character, and ministry skills—all at modest tuition." SCS has branched out to offer several of its associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees in biblical and ministry areas online.

Student Appeal
Current ministers or working professions who want to increase their ability to lead as Christians do not need to worry about moving or changing their life in order to earn a degree. Online classes are scheduled in flexible 7 week blocks, allowing students to take up to 12 classes a year.

SCS is accredited by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS).

Programs Offered:

Associate of Arts in Biblical StudiesAssociate of Arts in Biblical Studies
This 66 credit program provides students with a theological and biblical background for service in ministry. Graduates will be able to demonstrate greater biblical understanding, as well proficiency in language arts, social science, and humanities.
Bachelor of Arts in Biblical StudiesBachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies
This program is comprised of course work in biblical studies and bible areas, theology, general education, and the student's chosen emphasis and electives. Graduates can go on to work as missionaries, ministers, or in other service capacities.
Master of Arts in Biblical StudiesMaster of Arts in Biblical Studies
*Requires a bachelor's degree. Completing this two-year program prepares students for work in church leadership and parachurch ministries. The program requires a theological research-based thesis.
Master of Arts in Christian MinistryMaster of Arts in Christian Ministry
*Requires a bachelor's degree. This master's degree provides in depth biblical study for those who do not require knowledge of Greek and Hebrew exegesis. Graduates can go on to work in volunteer Christian ministry or to further biblical study.
