Southeastern Institute

Overview
Originally founded as the Southeastern School of Neuromuscular Massage of Charlotte in 1994, the Southeastern Institute has since expanded its program offerings beyond Massage Therapy and into allied health. Geared toward entry-level students with no prior background in the subject matter, the courses are presented through combined lectures, hands-on training, and clinical internship to promote career education and skill development. Campuses are located throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Student Appeal
The school offers small class sizes taught by experienced faculty members with practical knowledge in their particular field and the appropriate level of formal education. The programs focus on the specialized skills and knowledge needed for today's marketplace through courses pertinent to both skill performance and career management development. Some programs can be completed in as little as 8 months. Day and evening classes are available for a flexible, student-friendly schedule. Southeastern Institute also offers placement assistance for graduates.

  • Human Resource Administration
  • Massage TherapyMassage Therapy
    This program features instruction in therapeutic massage with advanced training in the treatment of soft tissue ailments, postural distortions, and degenerative process of the body. Additional topics explored include massage law, basic massage theory techniques, allied modalities, and neuromuscular clinical massage theory techniques. The education and training prepare students for employment in medical based facilities such as physician's offices, and rehabilitation centers. All graduates receive a Certificate in Professional Clinical Massage Therapy upon successful completion of this program.
  • Medical AssistingMedical Assisting
    Students of this program gain the expertise to multi-skilled professionals who assist physicians. They receive training for giving injections, administering electrocardiograms, processing insurance claims, maintaining patient records, taking vital signs, and assisting minor surgical procedures, in addition to developing the administrative skills necessary to function in a medical office.
  • Medical Billing and CodingMedical Billing and Coding
    Designed to for those seeking employment in medical billing and health information management, this curriculum provides a through knowledge of medical terminology, health records management, insurance procedures, billing software, medical coding, and business communication skills vital to a student's success in the field.
  • Pharmacy TechnologyPharmacy Technology
    The Pharmacy Technology program provides instruction in how to assist the pharmacist in the packing and distribution of medication and basic health care skills.
