Overview
Saint Mary's College was first established in 1863 by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese as a diocesan college for boys, with a foundation built on the life of Saint John Baptist de La Salle (1651 – 1719), founder of the Brothers of the Christian Schools and patron saint of teachers. Saint Mary's features three undergraduate schools, including Liberal Arts, Science and Economics and Business Administration, in 40 academic majors. It also offers Master of Arts, Master of Arts in Leadership, Master of Education, Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, Master of Business Administration, Executive Master of Business Administration, and Doctorate in Educational Leadership. In accordance to the five Lasallian Core Principles — Faith in the Presence of God, Concern for the Poor and Social Justice, Quality Education, Inclusive Community, and Respect for All Persons — the school has set up numerous online programs to offer a diverse curriculum that includes the humanities, arts, sciences, social sciences, education, business administration, and nursing that serve adult learners worldwide.
