Overview
For nearly 35 years, Newbridge College in California has been providing students interested in the healthcare field. Healthcare is one of the fastest-growing fields today, therefore Newbridge students receive both classroom instruction from trained instructors and hands-on training in real-world settings. Campuses are located in Long Beach, Santa Ana, and San Diego, CA.

Focused training prepares students to be in demand immediately after completing their program of study. Programs include concentrations to become a Medical Assistant, Surgical Technician, Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Ultrasound Technician), and more.

Financial
The financial aid staff at Newbridge College is dedicated to helping students to find the money needed to lighten the financial burden. Students start by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Financial Aid available to those who qualify.

  • Business Office AdministrationBusiness Office Administration

    The Business Office Administration program is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the modern office environment that includes computer and basic accounting skills.

    The program includes training in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and selected accounting software. In addition, students learn accounting principles, payroll procedures, standard office procedures, verbal communication techniques, human resource management procedures, introduction to business law and marketing, customer service techniques, business English, medical terminology, and business mathematics.

    The program is divided into modules. Students must complete all modules, beginning with any module and continuing in sequence until all modules are successfully completed. For most students, completion of the Business Office Administration program requires 36 weeks in length. Using the skills acquired in this training program, graduates may be eligible for entry-level positions in the following occupations: accounts payable/receivable clerk, accounting clerk, inventory control clerk, payroll clerk, assistant financial manager, general office clerk, receptionist, office assistant, administrative assistant, bookkeeper, customer service representative, or clerical assistant.

  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT-1)Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT-1)
    This 8-week program prepares you for the State Licensing Exam to become a California Certified Phlebotomist Technician 1 (CPT-1) and is approved by the Department of Health Services, Laboratory Field Services Division. On graduation you will be qualified for a satisfying career working in a Clinical Lab, Hospital Medical Lab, Blood Bank, Research Center and more.
  • Clinical Laboratory AssistantClinical Laboratory Assistant
    This program enables graduates to assist in laboratory procedures from preparing slides and cultures to implementing safety and infection control methods. This is a support role incorporating phlebotomy, specimen processing, and other standard medical assisting tasks.
  • Dental AssistantDental Assistant
    This program is designed to prepare students for an entry-level position assisting a Dentist in a chair side setting including clinical and laboratory skills.
  • Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Ultrasound Technician)Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Ultrasound Technician)
    The 18-month (72-week) Diploma Program is a balanced education using competency-based, in-classroom and in-clinic instruction and demonstration; training also includes performance and testing of practical skills. This rapidly growing field has strong demand, high paying jobs, and satisfying careers. Sonographers perform diagnostic studies using ultrasound equipment to produce images of a patient's anatomy, which are then interpreted by Doctors to aid in the diagnosis of various medical conditions. Graduates of our program are frequently eligible for ARDMS examination.
  • Medical Administration/Insurance (Medical Billing and Coding)Medical Administration/Insurance (Medical Billing and Coding)
    Prepares students with the skills, qualifications and level of professionalism required to specialize in medical billing and administrative office environments.
  • Medical AssistantMedical Assistant
    Students going through this healthcare program are taught the basic fundamentals of the human anatomy and common pathology. This prepares them for working in a variety of healthcare settings, including a medical clinic, rehabilitation center and others. The 30-week course also explores administrative and clinical procedures.
  • Medical Billing and Coding/Office ManagementMedical Billing and Coding/Office Management
    Students are taught the fundamentals of processing paperwork in a variety of healthcare settings, including clinics, hospitals, insurance companies and doctor's offices. Medical terminology and front office procedures are explored as well as processing accounts for patients.
  • Pharmacy TechPharmacy Tech
    Assist pharmacist in performing clinical and administrative tasks including greeting customers, taking, filing and processing prescriptions.
  • Surgical TechnologistSurgical Technologist
    Students receive in-depth knowledge and training to work effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other surgical professionals. Classroom experiences and hands-on training in the form of an externship provide a smooth transition into the job market.
