Overview
A current affiliate of Methodist Health System, Nebraska Methodist College was established in 1891 as a nursing diploma school. NMC is small enough to really care about each student as an individual and large enough to provide outstanding undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs in nursing and allied health. Its educational excellence is reflected in the fact that NMC is ranked first in both 5-year and 6-year graduation rates among all private and public colleges and universities in Nebraska. In order to extend the quality instruction and educational experiences for the development of individuals serving the health and well-being of the community, NMC now offers 100% online graduate programs in Health Promotion Management, Nursing, and Medical Group Administration. NMC participates in the William D Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program, as well as other federal financial aid options such as Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, PLUS, and Stafford Loans. In addition, the Nurse Faculty Loan Program (NFLP) is available for students enrolled full-time in the Master of Science in Nursing Program.

    This program prepares students to pursue a broader scope of nursing practice and take advantage of opportunities to work in specialty areas that offer even greater job security and flexibility. The coursework provide the knowledge they need and the clinical training enables them to put what you learn into practice right away. The learning environment is supportive, with an emphasis on students' immediate and long-term success. Graduates are qualified to work as both the primary point of care for patients, as well as an integral part of the health care team.

    Pre-requisites:
    Applicants must possess an Associate or Bachelor degree with a GPA of 2.75 or above from a regionally accredited institution, meet program technical standards, and have completed all general education pre-requisite courses prior to January enrollment in the program.

  • Registered Nurse to Master of Science in Nursing, EducatorRegistered Nurse to Master of Science in Nursing, Educator

    Students of this program choose between two degree options: Master of Science Nurse Educator and Master of Science Nurse Executive. Both provide a solid foundation of educational, theoretical and leadership knowledge, with additional specialized curriculum tracks to prepare enrollees for the career opportunities they want to pursue. Beyond the classroom, they receive practical opportunities to put what they learn into practice.

    Concentration:
    Nurse Educator – This track provides a solid foundation of educational and theoretical knowledge for the classroom and clinical as well as curriculum development. Students gain practical experience teaching undergraduate students in an academic setting.

    Pre-requisites:
    Applicants must be a graduate of a state-approved diploma or associate degree program with GPA of 3.0 or above (a GPA below 3.0 will be considered on an individual basis), plus current unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse.

  • Registered Nurse to Master of Science in Nursing, ExecutiveRegistered Nurse to Master of Science in Nursing, Executive
