Overview
The National Massage Therapy Institute offers a hands-on-program that can lead to a license in massage therapy within 9 months. It offers day, evening and weekend classes professional massage therapy training, located in Philadelphia, PA.
Massage therapy is a rapidly-growing field; both in the medical and public communities. The number of Americans receiving massages has more than doubled in the last decade (now over 114 million treatments per year).*
NMTI can position students for academic and professional success, including time management and study skills, certification exam preparation and strategies, and employability and career skills. Graduates can be prepared for massage therapy positions with spas, salons, hospitals, cruise ships, and fitness centers. Due to the flexible nature of the work, many massage therapists can remain mobile and work part-time or full-time, or they can even open an independent practice for massage.
Accreditation
NMTI is proud to be accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) and by COMTA (The Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation), both agencies are nationally recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. NMTI is also a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP), and certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).
