Morehead State University is a Public University in the State of Kentucky, meaning that much of the school's funding is a result of tax revenue. Students who are earning masters of arts degrees in English will focus on a certain area of literature that is of particular interest to them. For example, a Morehead student may decide to study Elizabethan writing, and will select advanced literature courses in Shakespeare and other authors of the period. Theory classes will also be required, and students will spend much of their course of study complete a thesis project.
