Overview
Since purchasing a company offering training in computer technology to establish campus space in 2002, the Milwaukee Career College (MCC) has expanded into instructor-led medical occupations training in Medical Assistance and Pharmacy Technician programs. Adding 8,000 square feet to its Milwaukee, Wisconsin campus, the school now focuses on one thing: providing education in the medical field that can enable its students to acquire career skills that really work. Designed to fit enrollees' specific medical occupational learning and career enrichment goals, MCC's diploma programs can develop marketable skills.

Student Appeal
Milwaukee Career College features flexible class hours in the morning, afternoon and evening to fit the schedules of busy individuals. The programs with hands-on labs (including a simulated pharmacy), computer access, and a study lounge can enable students to earn a diploma quickly. The school supports students throughout the learning process with personalized career advising and lifetime job placement assistance for graduates. It also sponsors local outreach activities so students can enrich their classroom experience by engaging with the community.

MCC participates in a variety of financial aid programs designed to benefit qualified students. These include federal programs (such as Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, Federal Subsidized Stafford Loan, Federal Unsubsidized Stafford Loan, and Federal Parent Loans for Undergraduates), payment plans and scholarships.

  • Medical Assistant - DiplomaMedical Assistant - Diploma
    Emphasizing medical office support, this program prepares students for entry-level positions in medical assisting through a combination of education, training and practical, hands-on experience. The courses equip student with the skills to perform clerical and administrative duties, receive and schedule patients, maintain medical records and supplies, as well as assisting with some diagnostic testing and lab work. Enrollees acquire the expertise necessary to work in a supervised health care setting such as medical office, clinic, or hospital.
  • Pharmacy Technician - DiplomaPharmacy Technician - Diploma
    Students of this program learn the clinical, technical and hands-on skills to assist licensed pharmacists in providing medications and medical care to patients. The curriculum covers essential knowledge and skills from pharmacology and terminology to recordkeeping and delivery systems, enabling participants to assume responsibility in a pharmacy as a technician. Graduates are qualified to work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist in a variety of pharmacy settings, including hospitals, retail stores, home health pharmacies, clinics and mail order pharmacy operations, as well as to take the National Pharmacy Technician Certification exam.
