Overview
Founded by entertainment professionals, the LA Film School strives to balance the practical with the academic, offering one-year, hands-on associate's degree programs to educate students in the science, craft and theory of filmmaking and other entertainment avenues. Located in Hollywood, CA, the institution's accelerated degree programs are designed and taught by experienced industry professionals.

Student Appeal
The campus's Hollywood location enables the experienced, passionate, and knowledgeable instructors to move freely between the active studios and the classrooms, offering an education taken directly from the entertainment industry and sharing real-world knowledge and techniques. LA Film School combines the latest in technology with an advanced curriculum to immerse students in their chosen study. The school's Career Development Department pro-actively teaches networking and professional skills to students throughout their education, with post-graduate credit available though the institution's Internship Program.

Financial Aid
Approximately 75% of the institution's students receive some form of financial aid. For students who qualify, the school offers federal loans, federal grants and alternative loans.

The Military Services Department is also available and committed to helping those who have bravely served our country achieve their educational goals.   • Associate of Science Degree in Computer AnimationAssociate of Science Degree in Computer Animation
    This Associate Degree program introduces students to the fundamental principles and techniques of animation, and progresses into creating advanced computer-generated virtual models, characters, animations, and visual effects. Students will learn to create 3D computer graphics for video games, commercials, television shows, theme park attractions, and short and feature-length films, all while working through a process that mirrors the entertainment industry.
  • Associate of Science Degree in FilmAssociate of Science Degree in Film
    Essential for students interested in becoming filmmakers, this Associate Degree program takes them through the complete film production process while teaching them the art and science of filmmaking. Through coursework from digital video to 16mm, 35mm, and HD, students will develop skills in cinematography, directing, producing, creative writing, editing, sound design, lighting for film and video, production design, and more to create a movie from the ground up.
  • Associate of Science Degree in Game Production Associate of Science Degree in Game Production
    Designed by industry professionals to be an immersive and comprehensive educational game studio experience, this 14-month program introduces prospective gaming professionals to game theory and the creation of engaging game experiences using conventional game mechanics. Over the course of this curriculum, students create original game art, game audio, basic and advanced programs with scripting languages, data structures, tools, and recording techniques. They will also learn essential aspects of game production, and are given the opportunity to pitch an original game concept.
  • Associate of Science Degree in Recording ArtsAssociate of Science Degree in Recording Arts
    This Associates degree program has industry-experienced faculty who can teach you the ins and outs of creating, recording, and mixing music. The small class sizes will benefit you by ensuring you receive maximum time using the industry-current gear, as well as full access to the instructors.
