Overview
King College was founded amidst the turmoil of the Civil War in Southern Appalachia, matriculating its first students and beginning classes under the Reverend and founding president James Doak Tadlock in 1867. The Presbyterian-affiliated institution now offers online graduate programs in business administration and information technology. Consistently ranked as one of the best colleges in the nation by a leading national publication (U.S. News & World Report), King College strives to educate students in an academically rigorous and collegiate setting that integrates Christian faith, scholarship, service and career.

Student Appeal
Online students can learn anytime, from anywhere. They can choose their own study pace and plan for "class time" when it's convenient for them. Financial
Financial assistance is available to eligible students in the form of Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), Direct Subsidized Stafford Loan, Direct Unsubsidized Stafford Loan, and Direct Parent PLUS.

    This program is designed to accommodate adult learners who have earned some college credits enhance their business management knowledge with a bachelor's degree. The curriculum prepares students for various career paths that require excellent business, communication and critical-thinking skills, covering topics such as self-analysis, research, ethical decision making, managerial economics, business research methods, business plan development, and more. Graduates acquire the credentials to integrate management, administration and strategy theory into their current or future career.
  • Bachelor of Information TechnologyBachelor of Information Technology
    Essential for those seeking management, administrative, or strategic positions within their organization, this program educates enrollees to apply appropriate information technologies and employ appropriate methodologies to help individuals or organizations achieve their technology goals and objectives. Coursework include fundamental studies in project management, problem solving, policy consultation, technology research methods, and IT plan development. Graduates are qualified to manage the information technology resources of an individual or organization, anticipate the changing direction of information technology, and evaluate the likely utility of new technologies.
  • RN to BSNRN to BSN

    The Bachelor of Science in Nursing for registered nurses (RN-BSN) online degree program provides the ideal educational opportunity for registered nurses who want to advance their education by earning a BSN in a convenient and flexible format. A nursing diploma or an Associate of Science degree with a major in nursing, and a registered nurse license in the state of Tennessee (or multi-state) are required for enrollment.

    The RN-BSN program at King College may be completed in as little as 16 months and is designed as a transformational learning experience leading to personal and professional skill development to meet the needs of Registered Nurses previously prepared at the ADN or diploma level.

    The RN-BSN degree is delivered ENTIRELY ONLINE. However, clinical aspects of the NURS 4010 & 4210 courses involve participation in a community service assignment and implementing a change project in the work environment respectively.

Master's Degree

    Designed to prepare students to be effective, strategic leaders and managers in a variety of business settings, this 37-hour program guides them through methods of management research, theoretical systems, skills development and ethical practices within their own contemporary professional environment. The curriculum blends an intensive classroom case analysis with individual preparation and small group discussions, adopting and implementing creative components such as a team-based learning model and provides a transformational learning experience for personal and professional skill development. Through coursework enrollees develop solid fundamental knowledge and skills in project management, problem solving, business communication, policy development, research methods, statistics analysis, and plan development/assessment—all necessary in today's competitive business world.
