  • Aircraft MechanicAircraft Mechanic
    This program is essential for those aspiring to work for an established aircraft maintenance/repair facility or start your own business. Through challenging, varied assignments, students learn aircraft components and terminology, electrical generators and motors, aircraft structural materials and hardware, sheet metal structural repair, aircraft hydraulic and pneumatic power systems, instrument systems and cabin atmosphere controls, helicopter maintenance, and receive training meeting Transport Canada's basic requirements for the AME License "M" Rating.

    Designed to enhance students' abilities to keep animal healthy, nurse them when ill and even save their lives, this program delve into subjects from animal anatomy and physiology, animal diseases to veterinary care and advanced procedures. Graduates often seek work at a veterinary hospital, animal shelter, kennel, or laboratory as a part of a professional veterinary staff.

    Students receive training in appliance repair through coursework in electrical appliance tools and testers, electric heating appliances, electric ranges, water heater, washing machine, motor-driven small appliances, compactors, dishwashers, and other household appliances. This program can be completed in as little as six months.

    Enrollees learn new techniques and create beautiful pieces of art. The program covers color theory, basic drawing and figure drawing, as well as techniques for portrait, pen and ink, watercolor, oil painting, acrylic painting, matting and framing, cartooning, and mixed media, enabling graduates to become an animator, illustrator, painter, or cartoonist working in the creative field of art.

Students are introduced to all aspects of the trade, such as preparing a balance sheet and income statement; the basics of general journal, ledger, and T account; revenue, expenses, and trial balance; assets, liabilities, and owner's equity; payroll accounting, accounting systems, and wholesale accounting.

    This program encompasses business management topics such as the principles of marketing, business law and accounting, sales, human resources management, business mathematics, and physical distribution management.     Through courses intended to develop competence in food, students gain valuable information about different food styles involved in catering, as well as basic and advanced presentation. Career options for graduates include working for a restaurant, hotel, resort, or cafeteria, or starting their own catering business.
  • Certified Personal TrainerCertified Personal Trainer
    This program gives students a solid grounding in important fitness issues from designing conditioning regimens to exercise testing and fitness evaluation. Enrollees also receive the National Council on Strength and Fitness Certification Package, which includes textbook, study guide, lab manual, DVD, and voucher for NCSF Certification Exam.
  • Certified Wedding PlannerCertified Wedding Planner
    Students can advance their current skills in the fields of catering, floral, or event planning, as well as getting the latest information on bridal shows, specialty weddings, and the bridal business necessary for a prospective Certified Wedding Planner. Graduates receive the professional certification exam for the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC®) and are eligible for Certified Wedding Planner status and consultant-level membership.

    This program provides both training and up-to-date information on licensing, accreditation and certification, working with parents, budgeting and financing a child care center. Students learn how to organize educational activities and use computers to help children learn/play.

    Courses for this program explore issues such as the relevance of child psychology, growing process, adolescence and other problems, methods used in psychology, and children requiring special treatment.
  • Computer Graphic ArtistComputer Graphic Artist
    This curriculum enables students to put their creativity to work in the capacity of a graphic designer. Students develop graphic design skills and learn techniques in page layout, illustration, and utilization of industry-standard software. In addition, they also compile a portfolio and explore the potential of starting their own graphic design studios.

    Participants delve into the practices and techniques used in the exciting field of counseling through coursework in active listening, empathy, goal setting, and advanced counseling skills. They are also eligible to join the Canadian Professional Counsellors' Association (CPCA) as Student Members, becoming a part of the foremost association representing counselors in Canada.

    Designed to meet the demand for skilled desktop publishers and designers, this program trains students to produce newsletter, brochures, corporate reports, catalogs, and more. In addition to learning the Adobe InDesign® software, they study page layout, elements of design, illustration, printing, planning documents, and creation of online documents. Graduates are able to work for newspapers, advertising agencies, print shops, or start their own business.
  • Diesel MechanicDiesel Mechanic
    This program integrates the topics such as hydromechanical diesel fuel injection systems, computerized truck and bus systems management, and truck steering, suspension, brake and transmission systems to provide a comprehensive training for future diesel mechanics.
  • Dog Obedience Trainer/InstructorDog Obedience Trainer/Instructor
    Students learn to understand dog behavior and use the knowledge to influence canines through conditioning and reinforcement. They also learn to train, communicate, and deal with behavior problems, as well as basic veterinary issues. Graduates are qualified to train dogs for security or law-enforcement work, or seek employment with a canine training center.
  • Drafting with AutoCADDrafting with AutoCAD
    The courses focus on the use of basic CAD equipment, systems, and software. Students receive instruction in electrical and electronic schematic drafting with AutoCAD®, dimensioning, geometric construction, and geometric tolerancing, plus utilization of drafting equipment, media, and reproduction methods. Graduates often seek a career with architectural, civil, or mechanical engineering firms.

    This program includes details on fabrics, decorative features, embroidery, alterations, and much more for students interested in the exciting field of dressmaking and design.
  • ElectricianElectrician
    This program prepares participants to work as an electrician for an established electrical contractor. Students gain the necessary expertise through coursework in electrician's tools and electrical equipment, conduit and conductors, wiring, electrical components, schematic drawings, transformers, and the Canadian Electrical Code.
  • ElectronicsElectronics
    Students are equipped with the knowledge and skills to repair office machines, computers, home entertainment systems, and more. The courses cover all aspects of electronics, from conductors and batteries to electromagnetism, fiber optic and optoelectronic components.
  • Electronics TechnicianElectronics Technician
    The training provided by this program enables graduates to work for an electronics services business as a specialist or troubleshooter. Students delve into subjects such as electronic hardware, transformers and sensors, reactance and impedance, oscillator and feedback waveforms, modulation and detection circuits, etc.
  • Firearms RepairFirearms Repair
    From repair and customization to designing sights and restoring antique firearms, this program equips the students to become a professional specializing in firearm repair, modification, and customization. Graduates can work for a gun shop, installing and making simple adjustments to firearms.

    This program encompasses the basics of floral design along with design techniques, styles, plant care, and creation of floral arrangements and artificial/dried flower displays. Graduates gain the design ability and management skills to work for a florist shop, or in the floral department of a grocery store.
  • Freelance WriterFreelance Writer
    The content of this curriculum aims at developing the talent of aspiring freelance writers. Students also explore the business of writing, manuscript submission, working with agents and editors, as well as reference sources for different genres and types of fiction and nonfiction. Graduates often work for publishing houses, magazines, advertising agencies, and newspapers as freelancers.

    The coursework for this comprehensive program include plant health, soil, and fertilizers; growing fruits and vegetables; pruning trees and controlling disease; servicing garden tractors and other landscaping tools; creating landscaping designs using shrubs and ground covers; and specialty landscaping. Graduates can earn Certified Groundskeeper status from the Professional Grounds Management Society upon successful completion of a proctored exam.

    This program examines relevant issues of hotel and restaurant management, such as hospitality accounting, cost controls, insurance, food service, purchasing and storage, sanitation, marketing, and sales. Students receive training and information in food service set-ups, dining service, banquet and buffet catering, sales, advertising, and public relations, enabling them to work for hotels or restaurants in a management position.

    Students acquire the skills to manage a medical office, schedule appointments, and update patient records. In addition, they also delve into law and ethics in allied health, administrative procedures, advanced medical terminology and pharmacology, as well as interpersonal communication, time and stress management.
  • Medical TranscriptionistMedical Transcriptionist
    The coursework cover topics from keyboarding and medical transcription to maintaining medical records in order to meet the growing demand for medical transcriptionists in the health field.
  • Motorcycle RepairMotorcycle Repair
    The self-paced lessons cover all the major makes of motorcycle, plus ATVs and snowmobiles, with thorough instruction that guide students through aspects such as inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. Students learn to work with engines, ignition systems, electrical circuits, brakes, wheel assemblies and tires, qualifying them for jobs with motorcycle or marine vehicle dealerships or repair shops.

    Grooming and health care for dogs and cats of all types and personalities are the focus of this program. Enrollees also study anatomy and receive instruction for operating various grooming tools to solidify their skills as a future pet groomer.

    Graduates of this program are ready to work for a portrait or photo studio, as well as a newspaper or advertising agency. The expertise acquired will include basic camera operation, lighting for photography, image design, studio and presentation skills, photograph and slide production, digital and video photography techniques, and more.
  • Police Sciences (Law Enforcement & Protection)Police Sciences (Law Enforcement & Protection)
    This program provides training in investigation and reporting techniques, supplemented by studies of traffic enforcements, drug problems, firearms usage and safety, Canadian Criminal Law and Code. Coursework also cover fingerprinting techniques, handwriting analysis, and surveillance equipment to prepare graduates for jobs with an investigation or security agency, corporate legal department, or government bureau, in addition to potential career as a bodyguard, private detective, or safety officer.

    This complete course offers details on surveillance, corporate espionage, firearm usage and safety, undercover investigations, and much more to prepare students for possible employment in the field of private investigation. (Completion of this program, however, does not automatically qualify graduates to obtain a license as a private investigator.)
  • Retail Pharmacy AssistantRetail Pharmacy Assistant
    Students receive valuable information about working in the challenging environment of retail pharmacy, where skills in record keeping, sales techniques, and product knowledge that they acquire through this program will be tested daily, while assisting customers in selecting the right product for the right purpose at the right price.
  • Small Engine RepairSmall Engine Repair
    Covering lawn mower engines, motor boats, recreational vehicles, and more, students gain the troubleshooting and repairing skills necessary to disassemble, fix, rebuild, and maintain small engines of all types, including two-stroke, four-stroke, outboard, and riding mower engines. Graduates know how to take care of tools and vehicles from racing motorcycles to chain saws, availing opportunities for them to become small engine technicians.
