Overview
A private Christian University identified with non-denominational Christian Churches/Churches of Christ, Hope International University was founded as Pacific Bible Seminary on October, 1928. Today, the institution is composed of two separate schools: Pacific Christian College, a traditional undergraduate college, and the School of Graduate & Professional Studies, which offers on-site and online degree completion and certificate programs for adults, featuring graduate degree programs in education, management, marriage/family therapy, and ministry. Hope International has developed a strong track record of delivering online education as well, evident by the significant number of participants choosing to receive their education from the school through the Internet.
Student Appeal
Hope International offers a variety of 100% online programs and courses that provide students with the same one-on-one attention you would expect in a traditional classroom, with the only difference being the delivery model. Online courses let students access the classroom 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at their convenience. They can earn classroom credit or even a degree with the same individualized attention, class interaction and academic integrity as those who attend courses on campus. The school's distant education technology enables students to download course materials, access library resources, submit assignments, interact with students and professors and contribute to ongoing class discussions. This supportive, student-centered learning environment lets enrollees collaborate with fellow learners in multiple time zones. Without the worries of commuting or class schedules, participants can receive a quality education from a respected institution of higher learning.
Financial
Students may be eligible for low interest loans that cover the entire cost of their program, such as Federal PELL Grant, Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan, Federal Direct Subsidized Loan, Federal SEOG Grant, Federal Direct PLUS Loan, Educational Private Loans, VA Benefit Information, and Cal grant (available for California residents who graduated from a High School or received their GED in California).
