Part of the ECPI College of Technology, The Culinary Institute of Virginia is located in Norfolk, Virginia. The Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts can be completed in under two years while the Bachelor's Degree in Food Services Management can be completed in less than three years. The diverse faculty brings a wealth of experience from both American and International cuisines, and students are thoroughly prepared for work after graduation by required externships. The school emphasizes a "learn by doing" approach to education.

Students at the Culinary Institute of Virginia can quickly earn their degree and classes are available during the week, on weekends, at night and even online. Class sizes are small and students have plenty of opportunities for hands-on learning at externships at nearby restaurants and hotels; with which the school maintains excellent relationships.
