Capitol City Careers

Overview
Capitol City Careers is located in Austin, Texas, and it is a career-oriented school. Currently, the school offers a Executive Administrative Assistant program and a Legal Assistant program. Students receive the knowledge and skills they need, including technology training, to succeed in entry-level jobs in both of these professions. Course material and information is always up-to-date and relevant to today's changing job markets. Training is comprehensive and extensive.

    In this program, students acquire entry-level skills in communication and office management.
  • Legal AssistantLegal Assistant
    Graduates of the Legal Administrative Assistant program are trained to work under the supervision of a lawyer and to complete a myriad of functions including managing complex files, developing legal practice systems and assisting the attorney in and out of the courtroom.
  • ParalegalParalegal

    Paralegals provide services that help legal teams and law office staff work more efficiently and intelligently. Students earn an Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal at Capitol City Careers to help them prepare for a career in the legal field.

    Paralegal students learn about the legal and adversarial process. They take courses in the fundamentals of civil, criminal, business, transactional, administrative, estate and family law. They learn legal research, writing, and discovery, and get hands-on experience using legal technologies in the office and within the court system.

    General education courses provide an extra boost in a field that relies heavily on communications and includes psychology, composition, communications and computer applications.

    Program graduates can compete for positions that include documents clerk, court clerk, research assistant and title clerk.
