Overview
Calhoun Community College is a two-year institution of higher education that serves students from Limestone, Madison, Lawrence and Morgan counties in Alabama. The school offers 49 associate degrees and 52 career/certificate programs. It educates over 12,300 students across its two campuses; one in Tanner, AL and one in Huntsville, AL. Graduates of Calhoun Community College continue on to bachelor degree programs at other institutions or enter the workforce in a wide variety of jobs.

Student Appeal
Calhoun Community College has an open-admission policy and is community-based. Many students who wish to be close to home and get an affordable education, whether their goal is to continue on to a bachelor's degree or gain the necessary skills and knowledge to enter the workforce in a specific career. Over 80 percent of Calhoun Community College's full-time instructors have at least a master's degree in their field and about 15 percent have a doctorate.
