Overview
Founded in 1945, Brooks Institute offers intensive career training in Professional Photography and a variety of other fields. The Brooks Institute campus has two convenient locations in Santa Barbara and Ventura, CA. Students can earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Film Professional Photography, and Graphic Design, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Visual Journalism and certificates in Digital Cinema or Wedding Photography through advanced digital labs, studios, darkrooms, and lectures.

Student Appeal
Industry-current equipment and experienced professional faculty give students a unique opportunity to experiment with a variety of photography techniques while learning fundamental practices in modern professional photography. Course material is designed to emphasize business and technical skill advancement as a complement to artistic creativity as a way to create marketable professional photographers. Student Services include housing assistance; career services; resume workshops; internship opportunities; and activities through Student Life events like movie nights, kayaking, day hikes, and rock climbing.

Financial
Financial aid is available for those who qualify. Financial aid includes federal loans, grants, and work study. Financial Planning Representatives help students to find ways to fund their educations. Brooks Institute is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools to award associate degrees, bachelor's degrees, and master's degrees.
