BEAU was founded on the belief that everyone in the industry—from artists to technicians to producers—can and should build off one another's talents. At BEAU, students can be a part of a culture of creativity where ideas have a fertile ground to grow and adapt to changes in the industry and trends in the scene. Whether the focus is fine arts, production arts or the business side of the industry, BEAU programs are designed to help give students the knowledge and tools needed to see the bigger picture.

BEAU offers two programs in this area of study: the bachelor of fine arts and the associate of applied science. Both train students in the video production process from start to finish, including storyboarding, lighting, sound, editing and production management. The two-year program provides technical training in sound, lighting, camera operation and digital video editing, helping students build a foundation for positions in film, TV and web video production. All coursework in this program will transfer to the bachelor of fine arts program.

BEAU's digital video and media production programs are designed to provide students with a strong foundation in pre-production, production and post-production.

This program is designed to develop your artistic skills and apply them to the video gaming industry.
Everywhere we go, we are bombarded by visuals. Cereal boxes, billboards, TV ads, websites—all of these visual media are carefully crafted by graphic designers. At BEAU, you can learn the art of using line, color, shape, typography and much more to create compelling visual messages tailored to specific audiences.

This program provides students with a strong background in the principles of graphic design, preparing them for entry-level graphic and web designing positions.
Design sets. Make 3-D models. Paint scenic backdrops. Construct props. Entertainment design is all about designing and building environments for TV, films and live shows. In this hands-on BEAU program, you'll get a foundation in artistic principles that will help you grow as a designer and learn the technical skills you need to complete finished pieces.

Earn an associate degree in music and entertainment business at BEAU, and become a self-starter in a fast-paced industry. Get schooled in the business behind the scenes—like how to create a label, develop a marketing strategy, manage upcoming artists, book the best venues and promote live tours.

This associate of applied science program is designed to train entrepreneurs and industry-savvy business professionals who know the ins and outs of media marketing, content production and entertainment management.
The music industry has undergone massive changes in recent history. Gone are the days where musicians had to work with major record labels to make it mainstream. Modern production tools and distribution models have made it possible for anyone with talent and motivation to break into the scene. In the music production and engineering program at BEAU, you'll develop your musical ear, learn the technical skills you need to feel comfortable behind a console, and get an understanding of the business behind the music—preparing you for a career as a music producer, audio engineer or A&V technician.

This associate of applied science program is designed to train producer-engineers and entrepreneurs who are proficient in modern recording technologies and techniques.
Ever wonder what's behind the sound effects for a video game? Or who created that ringtone for your phone? Or how they edit together dialog in a movie? There's a whole industry dedicated to coming up with the audio track to our visual world, and it is made up of talented sound designers. Learn how to break into the industry at BEAU.
Program objectives:
The sound design for visual media program can give you access to the tools and equipment you need to develop the sonic complement to a variety of visual media, including TV, film, interactive web content, video games and mobile applications.
If you've already completed a two-year program in applied visual or production arts, BEAU offers a "2 + 2" media business program that can give you the business skills you need to move ahead. It's a way for you to go back to school and earn your bachelor's in as little as two years and prepare for exciting new opportunities in a rapidly changing industry.
Program objectives:
This program builds on an associate degree in either a technical or creative field, including audio production, graphic design, game design, video production, photography, communications or web design.
