Established in Owensboro, Kentucky in 1950, Brescia University is a coeducational Catholic institution founded by the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph. As the only Catholic University in Western Kentucky, Brescia has a proud religious and liberal arts heritage. The University offers certificates, associate's, baccalaureate and master's degrees through semester and time-shortened programs of higher education in the Ursuline tradition. Through its online programs, Brescia offers the opportunity for adult learners and working professionals to complete their degree in Integrated Studies, Liberal Arts, Management, Psychology, Social Work, and Theology.

Brescia University features STARS Online (Success Track for Adults Returning to School), a distance-learning platform for students to complete their college education by brining the classroom to them. It offers the convenience, flexibility and affordability they need to move forward in their career with minimum disruption to their other commitments. Online programs are accelerated as well, so students can obtain a degree in as little as 18 months.
