Bohecker College offers diploma and associate degrees for some of today's most popular industries, including Administrative Assistant, Medical Billing and Coding, and HVAC. Courses are career-focused with hands-on training to help students transition from the classroom to the workplace as quickly as possible. Bohecker College has campuses in Ravenna, Columbus and Cincinnati, Ohio.

  • AccountingAccounting
    This program leads to an Associate of Applied Business in Accounting Technology. Students take courses which provide them with in-depth study in accounting and its relationship to modern business. Graduates are prepared to work in a number of different industries, including Banking, Insurance, Finance, Real Estate and Sales.
  • Administrative Assisting - LegalAdministrative Assisting - Legal
    This program trains students to be Administrative Assistants whose skills and knowledge are particularly relevant to the legal industry. Students complete a wide range of courses on topics including Legal Word Processing, Dictation, and Legal Assisting.
  • Business AdministrationBusiness Administration
    This program leads to an Associate of Applied Business degree level in the Business Administration field. Graduates can look forward to entry-level management positions in almost any business field including Accounting, Marketing and Sales.
  • Criminal JusticeCriminal Justice
    Professionals in criminal justice require a broad-based education ranging from local or community issues in basic security, loss-prevention and identity theft to those matters that relate to the court system and national security. The Criminal Justice Degree offered at Bohecker College addresses this range of issues and combines them with the computer, business and interpersonal skills necessary for success.
  • Dental AssistantDental Assistant
    This program trains students in a variety of dental office procedures and laboratory techniques. Training includes preliminary examination procedure, assisting at chair-side using four-handed dentistry, charting, appointment scheduling, keeping patient records and sterilizing instruments. Graduates of the Dental Assistant program are able to apply for jobs as a Dental Assistant in dental offices and as well as in clinics performing lab techniques and office procedures. Graduates of the program are able to sit for the Radiation Health and Safety Examination (RHS), the Infection Control Examination (ICE) and Ohio State Dental Board for Radiology Certification.
  • EMT / ParamedicEMT / Paramedic
    The EMT/Paramedic program provides students with the valuable knowledge and skills they need to administer emergency medical care at a basic life support level with an ambulance service or other specialized service. Students also learn about communications, transportation, and record keeping.
  • Health Information ManagementHealth Information Management
    The Health Information Management (HIM) at Bohecker College provides students with the theory and practice specific to the field of HIM. The program consists of courses, labs and clinical experiences that cover basic HIM concepts, as well as the basic and general education courses needed for students to earn and associate degree. Teaching methods for the course may include lecture, discussion, student presentation, simulation, audiovisuals, and computer programs.
  • Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration
    This program trains students for high-demand HVAC careers. Students learn how to install, repair, and maintain Heating/Ventilation, Air-Conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC-R) systems. No prior experience or training is necessary.
  • Medical Administrative AssistantMedical Administrative Assistant
    This degree provides students with solid administrative skills and knowledge as well as skills and knowledge specific to the medical profession. Graduates are prepared to seek employment as Medical Word Processing Operators, Medical Secretaries, Administrative Assistants and more.
  • Medical AssistingMedical Assisting
    This program trains students in both the administrative and clinical duties they need to work under an office manager, physician or other health practitioner. Some of the many administrative and clinical skills students acquire include how to answer telephones, greet patients, update/file patient medical records, take medical histories and record vital signs and prepare patients for exams.
  • Medical Billing and CodingMedical Billing and Coding
    In this program, students learn how to accurately record doctor's notes on billing and insurance forms, and how to ensure that insurance claims are properly processed. Students must acquire typing speeds of at least 35 wpm. Students take courses in topics such as medical terminology, billing procedures, diagnostic codes and basic bookkeeping.
  • Medical Business and Clinical SpecialistMedical Business and Clinical Specialist
    This program provides graduates the knowledge and skills to succeed in a number of entry-level medical positions. Students take courses in areas including front office records management, medical insurance billing and coding, patient records, and clinical skills. Students also acquire basic administrative skills such as how to answer telephones, greet patients, update/file patient medical records and how to complete insurance forms. Graduates earn an Associate of Applied Business in Medical Business and Clinical Specialist.
  • Sales and MarketingSales and Marketing
    The Sales and Marketing degree requires that students take courses about the theory and practice of modern business. Students acquire skills and knowledge relating to the selling and marketing of products or services. Some of these courses cover topics such as product/service development, sales presentations, the development of business relationships and advertising and promotion.
  • Surgical TechnologistSurgical Technologist
    The Surgical Technologist program is intended to provide students with a solid background in all phases of Surgical Technology. Graduates of the program can work as Surgical Technologists, who work both with and under the supervision of surgeons or registered nurses. This program leads to an Associate's degree.
  • Welding TechnologyWelding Technology
    This program trains students to work in the field of Industrial Welding, for which they can seek out entry-level employment. Students take courses in math, wielding print reading, wielding symbols and more. Certification tests are given at appropriate times.
